If you are planning on attending the picnic and bringing a dish, please click on this link to list your Pot Luck item (in the phone number box please enter the # of people that will be attending in your group). This will help us know how many people will be attending so we have an idea how much meat to buy and cook on the spit.
Oak Ridge is a non-profit group of approximately 100 members, most of whom reside in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Membership is open to all Pointing Dog fanciers. We are always interested in new members, and we invite you to join us at our annual events and training seminars. Whether you own a Pointing Dog or not; from pet owners, to serious competitors, everyone is welcome to join our club.
We have a wonderful group of individuals who love, enjoy and compete in all disciplines and aspects with their pointing dogs. Centered in Harrisville, PA, Butler County, our club offers field trials, hunting tests, and social events, where we can enjoy each other’s company and take pleasure in our dogs. We are a cohesive group that takes pride in our reputation for friendliness and hospitality. Membership is currently close but interest parties are encourage to submit an application to get on our waiting list.
Oak Ridge would like to support other bird dog clubs to help grow the sport. This month we are highlighting the Pennsylvania Brittany Club. Please check them out on Facebook and support trials in our area.
Fall will be here before we know it and field trials will be kicking into high gear. Please watch the calendar of events as this will be another busy year at the grounds.
The 2018 Cover Dog Classic was cancelled due to weather, please watch for updates on a fall trial.
Oak Ridge is proud to support local businesses in the area. This year we have started working with Brian Ralph and Allstate insurance in Grove City.
“We opened our first office in Grove City in June of 2003 and took over our Hermitage office in the summer of 2010. My wife, Brandy and I cannot imagine calling anywhere else home. It is a small ‘everyone knows everyone’ type of town but it has all the amenities of a large city due to the Grove City Premium Outlets. The area is wonderful for hunting, training bird dogs and jeeping.
We have several dogs Remy, a yellow lab, Doll and Buddy are English Pointers, Big Ben is an English Setter and finally an American Foxhound named Rambo. You might say we are dog lovers! I was previously the president of the Grove City Chamber of Commerce and Brandy serves the Hermitage Rotary. We are both involved with several great charities together including Community Food Warehouse, Special Olympics of PA and Reaching up Reaching out.
I’m in the insurance industry because I love working with and helping people, and I believe treating people courteously and honestly is the only way to do business. Whether you need auto, home, or life insurance, I’m here to help. I look forward to working with you. Please call or stop by my office today!”
